The awareness of our own mortality is a very sensitive topic which interconnects us all. It's the truth that many of us try to ignore or refuse to accept. The moment of loss of a close person, a parent, for example, makes us reflect on our own mortality. At the same time this moment gives us space to ponder the journey to personal transcendence.
